Guide the bat through gaps on walls. Instead of using your eyes, find the gaps with your ears by listening to musical notes. Flappy Bat is designed to be playable by both sighted people and blind people.

Game rules

  • The bat flies in a straight line in a constant speed, at a height controlled by the player.
  • The flight path is blocked by walls with one gap on each. The gap can be at seven different heights, labelled as A, B, C, D, E, F, G. The height of the gap on the nearest wall is indicated by a musical note La, Si, Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol.
  • The game's objective is to guide the bat through the gaps using seven buttons on the right side of the screen, labelled as A, B, C, D, E, F, G corresponding to the gap's height.
  • You are rewarded one point for each wall cleared. There will be a sound indicating this, followed immediately by the sound of the next wall.
  • The game ends when the bat crashes into a wall. You are awarded a medal based on your score, from platinum to gold, silver, bronze or nothing.
  • Players are challenged by environments with different levels of noise pollution.

Instructions

  • The game functions with TalkBack on.
  • The game is played in landscape mode.
  • There are six buttons on the menu, 3 practice modes and 3 playing modes. Pick one.
  • In playing modes, you will play using only musical notes. In practice modes, a letter from A to G will also be sounded.
  • Touch the buttons on the right side of the screen to move the bat. Be aware that it also takes time for the bat to move up or down.
  • Listen to the sound and quickly guide the bat through each wall. Be ready for the next one.
  • If the bat crashes into a wall, the game ends and return to the menu.
