BHP joins hands with Envision, a company which aims to enable vision for visually impaired with the help of Camera, Artificial Intelligence and speaker. The small team from diverse cultures have developed a smartphone app by combining the best of assistive technology and AI that empowers blind and low vision people to be independent, by speaking out the visual world in front of them. It helps the visually impaired read texts, recognise faces, find objects and so much more, all on their own. The app has received the Google Play Award 2019 for Best Accessible Experience category.
Empowering blind and visually impaired community with technology is the core mission of Blind Help Project. This collaboration will enable both of us to foster our common goals. Let’s see how our goals match. The first word of BHP’s slogan is “Envisioning”, match. Then comes “Brighter Tomorrow”, Envision AI brightens the sight by describing the world around.
