Technitium MAC Address Changer V6.0.7 - A Freeware Utility to Spoof MAC Address Instantly

Technitium MAC Address Changer is an advanced utility designed to instantly modify (spoof) the Media Access Control (MAC) address of your Network Interface Card (NIC). Featuring an intuitive interface, this tool provides detailed insights into each NIC present in your system. Manufacturers embed a unique MAC address within every NIC, which Windows relies on to facilitate Ethernet network (LAN) connectivity. However, with this tool, users can effortlessly override the factory-set MAC address, enhancing privacy and network flexibility. A vital asset in any cybersecurity professional’s toolkit, this software ensures complete control over network identity management.
Features:
- Compatible with Windows 10, 8, and 7 for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
- Advanced network configuration presets with IPv6 support for seamless switching between network profiles.
- Enables full customization of any network adapter settings.
- Comprehensive command-line support, allowing execution of all software functionalities, including preset application.
- Automatic vendor database updates by fetching the latest Organizationally Unique Identifiers (OUI) from IEEE.org.
How Does It Work?
This software modifies specific registry values within Windows. Upon enabling a network adapter, Windows checks for the 'NetworkAddress' entry in the registry path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}\[NIC ID e.g., 0001]. If present, Windows adopts this value as the new MAC address. If absent, it defaults to the manufacturer-assigned MAC address. Some NIC drivers include built-in MAC address customization, accessible via the 'Advanced' settings tab in the network adapter properties within Windows Device Manager.
How to Change MAC Address:
- Launch the MAC Address Changer to view all detected network adapters.
- Select the desired adapter to modify its MAC address; its details will be displayed below.
- In the 'Information' tab, locate the 'Change MAC Address' section. Input a custom MAC address and click 'Change Now!' Alternatively, use the 'Random MAC Address' button to generate a random valid MAC address from the available vendor list.
- To restore the original MAC address, select the adapter and click the 'Restore Original' button within the 'Change MAC Address' section.
