We have seen that while there are many tools available, sometimes there are still gaps in what’s needed for full control of a computer. It is uncommon to find system control utilities designed with accessibility in mind, and that’s a challenge we wanted to be addressed.
With that in mind, we’ve developed SeraBlueAegis, a utility designed to offer users more direct control over their computer environment. This application is a part of our new Sera series, which aims to provide simple programs that empower users to manage their systems more effectively.

Features:

SeraBlueAegis offers several features to help you manage your computer. When you first open the application, you will see a password prompt. Please be aware that this password cannot be reset, changed, or removed, so it is important to set it carefully.

Blocking Websites:

This section allows you to block access to specific websites. You can type the website address, for example, “www.example.com”, and then select the “Block Website” button. Any websites you have already blocked will be listed, and you can select them and press the DELETE key to unblock them.

Blocking Applications:

You can choose to prevent certain applications from running. Select the “Select Program (.exe)” button to browse for the application you wish to block. Once selected, press “Block App.” A list of blocked applications will appear, and you can select any of them and press DELETE to unblock them.

File Protection:

This feature helps you protect your files and folders. You can choose to “Protect a File…” or “Protect a Directory…”. Once protected, these files or directories are safeguarded from being tampered with, deleted, edited, or moved. To unprotect them, select the item from the list and press DELETE.

Settings:

The Settings tab allows you to customize how SeraBlueAegis behaves when a blocked application is opened. You can choose to “Show Message,” “Launch Another App,” “Shutdown PC,” or “Restart PC.” If you choose “Show Message,” you can also set a “Global message to display.” If you select “Launch Another App,” you can browse for the application to launch instead. There are also “Power Action Options” where you can set a delay in seconds and choose to “Forceful (closes apps without saving).” Remember to “Save Settings” after making any changes.

System Lockdown:

Under System Lockdown, you will find options to manage system tool policies and network policies. You can choose to “Disable Task Manager” and “Disable Registry Editor.” For device and network control, you can “Disable USB Storage Drives” and “Block All Internet Access (Firewall Rule).” There’s also an option for “Scheduled Blocking,” where you can “Enable Scheduled Blocking” and select specific days of the week, as well as a “From” and “To” time for the blocking to be active. After making your selections, press “Apply Lockdown Settings.”

Total Lockdown:

This feature uses Windows BitLocker to require a password before Windows starts. It provides a very high level of security.
Extreme Caution Advised: If you set a password and forget it, you will need your official BitLocker Recovery Key to access your files. Losing both will result in permanent data loss.

Note:

It is important to understand that any changes you make with SeraBlueAegis will remain in effect even if you close the application or uninstall it. The settings persist. Please use the tool thoughtfully.
